Sense Organs
- Sense organs are groups of receptor cells which respond to specific stimuli such as light, sound, touch, temperature and chemicals (e.g. smell and taste)
- Receptor cells are groups of specialised cells
- They detect a change in the environment and stimulate electrical impulses in response
- Sense organs relay the information from receptor cells as electrical impulses along neurones to the central nervous system
