Education and work

  • Robert graduated from the University of Staffordshire with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.

  • He trained as a Computer Science teacher in 2006 and has taught Computer Science and ICT at KS3 and GCSE for over 16 years.

  • Robert has been a head of department for Computer Science since 2012 and was a pastoral leader with responsibility for transition from KS2 to KS3.

Achievements in their field

  • Robert has worked as a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for Computer Science in Stoke-on-Trent, helping to empower departments to be able to meet the demands of the Computer Science GCSE, including upskilling teachers in specialist areas such as programming and networks.

Interests

  • Robert's not all circuits and servers – when he logs off, he trades his keyboard for a controller and becomes a legend in the online arenas.
