About
Education and teaching experience
Phil has a BSc in Biochemistry with Biotechnology from The University of Birmingham, followed by an MBA from Manchester Business School, both in the UK. Since then, he has spent 15 years in industry in manufacturing and global commercial roles, followed by 15 years of teaching and tutoring. He has taught Biology in schools before becoming Director of a growing tuition agency. He has also scored Biology for one of the leading UK exam boards.
Other subjects
Phil has also taught and tutored Business Studies and Chemistry to A level and Maths to GCSE. He has a particular passion for empowering students to overcome their fear of numbers and to feel comfortable with maths in a scientific context.
Student success
While teaching, Phil wrote and published many online resources via the TES resource-sharing site, many of which have been downloaded and used successfully by teachers thousands of times worldwide.
