About

Education and work

  • Laura has been teaching for 31 years, both in the UK and overseas. She has taught GCSE, A Level and IB Diploma psychology, introducing the subject in several schools. She currently teaches two IB Diploma psychology classes online, with a total of over 40 students and supervises extended essays one-on-one. She is a senior examiner and has been examining for psychology for 20 years.

  • Laura also has experience as a Middle Years coordinator and Head of School and worked in Geneva for three years as an Associate Manager for the IB Middle Years programme.

Achievements in their field

  • Laura has worked throughout her career to develop subject support materials for teachers and students, both in print and online. She has written for a large number of other EdTech platforms and is regularly involved in IB Diploma psychology curriculum reviews and writing psychology teacher support materials.

Published articles

  • Laura has co-authored a number of psychology textbooks, including 'Psychology Sorted' Books 1 & 2, Cambridge International AS & A level Psychology student text and Cambridge International AS & A level Psychology student revision guide. She has also published articles in Psychology Review and the Association of Teaching Psychology journal.
